Austin, Texas / Salary: $140,000 to $190,000 plus bonus and benefits
We are looking for a Water/Wastewater Project Manager to lead municipal infrastructure and treatment projects across Central Texas.
You will manage projects from planning and design through bidding and construction support, while building strong relationships with municipal clients.
You will
- Lead water and wastewater projects from start to finish
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget and financial performance
- Prepare and review technical reports, plans and specifications
- Lead multidisciplinary teams across civil, process, structural, mechanical, electrical and controls
- Manage water distribution, wastewater collection, pump station, lift station and treatment facility projects
- Coordinate with municipalities, utility districts and regulatory agencies
- Lead client meetings, design workshops and project reviews
- Support permitting, bidding and construction administration
- Review submittals, RFIs and design changes
- Identify project risks and resolve technical or construction issues
- Mentor engineers, designers and technical staff
- Support proposals, client development and future project opportunities
You should have
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- Texas Professional Engineer licence, or the ability to obtain it within six months
- At least 8 years of water or wastewater engineering experience
- Experience managing municipal infrastructure or treatment projects
- Strong knowledge of project scope, schedules and budgets
- Experience producing design reports, construction plans and specifications
- Understanding of Texas design standards and permitting requirements
- Confidence leading technical teams and managing clients
- Experience supporting proposals and business development
