Job summary

A premier civil engineering firm in Charlotte is seeking a Project Manager with Water Treatment experience. This role focuses on planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater projects within a leading full-service practice.

You will manage multiple projects, mentor staff, and drive client interactions to deliver on time and within budget. Ideal candidates are licensed PEs in North Carolina with 5–15+ years of relevant experience, plus potential for conference presentations and

Qualifications

• Must be North Carolina PE with 5–15+ years of water or wastewater project experience.
• Conference presentation experience is a plus.
• Relationships with state and local municipalities are a plus.
• Active in professional associations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, design, and construct water and wastewater treatment projects.
• Lead multiple water treatment projects (treatment, distribution, storage).
• Manage project budgets, scheduling, production, QA/QC, and proposals.
• Ensure deliverables meet requirements on time and within budget.
• Engage in business development and client interaction.
• Mentor and supervise junior staff; QA/QC support.
• Oversee drawings, specifications, and bid packages preparation.
• Foster professional growth of junior staff.

Position: Project Manager, Water Treatment
Location: Charlotte

We have an opportunity for a Project Manager with Water Treatment experience. This
opportunity is with an established full service civil engineering firm. They are a leader in
water, wastewater and infrastructure.

Requirements

• Must be North Carolina PE with least 5 to 15+ years of relevant water or wastewater project experience (water treatment plant design and municipal utility infrastructure)
• Experience presenting at conferences a plus
• Relationships with State and Local municipalities, agencies a plus
• Active in professional associations a plus

Responsibilities

• In this role you will be responsible for planning, project management, design, and construction of water and wastewater treatment projects.
• Lead multiple Water Treatment projects (water treatment, distribution, and storage)
• Project Management; planning, design, construction on water treatment projects (project budget, scheduling, production, quality control, proposals, presentations…)
• Ensure requirements and deliverables are met on time and within budget
• Business development, client interaction
• Team management; mentoring and teaching junior staff, QA/QC
• Supervise preparation of drawings, specifications and bid packages
• Mentor and develop junior-level staff, fostering their professional growth
