Project Manager - Water

Huntsville, Alabama

About the Role

Garver is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our established Alabama Water Services team. This position involves planning, modeling, and designing water projects for clients in Alabama, including:

• Distribution systems, such as conveyance and network piping, pump stations, storage units, and reservoirs
• Collection systems, including interceptor, network, and outfall piping, pump stations

Responsibilities

The Project Manager will work under a Senior Project Manager within a team of multidisciplinary engineers and CAD technicians. Responsibilities include producing design phase deliverables such as reports, technical memoranda, design manuals, plans, sections, details, and specifications.

Candidate Capabilities

• Ability to work closely with clients to ensure quality and efficiency
• Effective communication skills for one-on-one, group, and presentation settings
• Leadership in guiding junior engineers and CAD Technicians to meet design, budget, and project goals
• Interest in gaining marketing and project management experience

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, biological, or environmental engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain license within 6 months
• 5+ years of related water/wastewater design experience
• Familiarity with ADEM regulations
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook

Preferred Skills

• Experience with WaterCAD, SewerCAD, or Civil3D
• Master's degree in civil or environmental engineering
• Design/build project experience
