Job summary

Terra Contracting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple underground utility construction projects from planning through closeout, coordinating with leadership, Superintendents, Estimators, and field personnel to ensure safety, schedule, and profitability across Southern Nevada.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in utility/heavy civil projects, strong scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration skills, and OSHA 30/CV qualifications.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience within construction.
  • Experience managing underground utility construction, heavy civil, telecommunications, fiber optic, natural gas, power, or infrastructure projects preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, cost control, project planning, and contract administration.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budget objectives.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of construction management software, Microsoft Office, scheduling tools, and project reporting systems.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, field operations, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple utility construction projects from pre-construction through project closeout.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Support Superintendents and field personnel in executing project schedules and production goals.
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, subcontractors, materials, and project resources.
  • Monitor project budgets, production, labor costs, change orders, and overall project profitability.
  • Analyze project performance and prepare detailed progress reports for leadership and clients.
  • Coordinate with estimating, operations, project coordinators, accounting, and field leadership to ensure successful project execution.
  • Maintain project documentation including contracts, RFIs, submittals, permits, purchase orders, and project closeout documentation.
  • Identify project risks and proactively develop solutions before they impact project performance.
  • Conduct regular project meetings with field leadership, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, municipalities, utility owners, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Ensure projects comply with contract requirements, customer specifications, company standards, and OSHA regulations.
  • Promote teamwork, communication, accountability, and operational excellence throughout every project.

Terra Contracting, Inc. is a rapidly growing utility contractor specializing in underground utility construction, natural gas infrastructure, fiber optic installation, telecommunications, electrical infrastructure, directional drilling, hydro excavation, asphalt paving, concrete restoration, and utility maintenance.

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee utility construction projects from planning through completion while ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable execution.

This role works closely with company leadership, Superintendents, Project Coordinators, Estimators, and field personnel to deliver high-quality infrastructure projects throughout Southern Nevada.

Position Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple utility construction projects from planning through closeout while overseeing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, client communication, project documentation, and operational execution.

The ideal candidate has experience in underground utility construction, infrastructure projects, or heavy civil construction and understands how to successfully coordinate office and field operations to keep projects moving safely, on schedule, and within budget.
