Job description

Lead Big Projects. Build Strong Teams. Make an Impact.

Are you an experienced construction leader who enjoys taking ownership of projects, developing people, and driving results? RH White is looking for a Project Manager to lead major construction projects across New England while helping grow our teams, strengthen customer relationships, and deliver quality work safely and profitably.

As a family-owned construction company with more than 100 years of experience, we take pride in our people, our work, and the relationships we build. We believe in putting safety first, working as a team, and giving our employees the opportunity to make a real impact.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll take ownership of projects ranging from $3.5 million to $10 million, with responsibility for delivering approximately $10 million in annual revenue. You'll work closely with field leadership, customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to keep projects on track, manage financial performance, and deliver results.

You’ll Have The Opportunity To
  • Lead Projects from Start to Finish: Oversee project planning, scheduling, execution, and closeout for both Design-Build and Bid-Build projects.
  • Drive Financial Performance: Manage budgets, contracts, purchasing, equipment rentals, expenses, and change orders to protect profitability and meet project goals.
  • Build and Develop Teams: Lead and support Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Superintendents, and other team members while helping allocate resources effectively.
  • Strengthen Customer Relationships: Serve as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other project partners.
  • Keep Projects Moving Forward: Monitor schedules, costs, and field activities, identify challenges, and implement solutions to keep work on time and within budget.
  • Champion Safety: Promote a proactive safety culture, ensure compliance with company policies, and address potential risks before they become problems.
  • Support Business Growth: Contribute to strategic planning, business development, resource management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead with Accountability: Represent RH White at project and strategy meetings while maintaining clear communication, accurate reporting, and strong working relationships.
What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who combines strong construction knowledge with financial awareness, sound decision‑making, and the ability to lead people effectively.

You’ll Bring
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience in construction, finance, and management.
  • A Construction Supervisor License (CSL), Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or similar license or certification.
  • Working knowledge of structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and building construction practices.
  • Experience with project scheduling and management software, such as Primavera or Microsoft Project.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to coordinate employees, subcontractors, consultants, and field teams.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and make independent decisions.
  • OSHA 30 Construction certification, or the ability to obtain it through company-provided online training before employment.
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card.
  • Successful completion of a pre‑employment drug screen.
  • A valid, unrestricted driver's license.
