Job summary

R.H. White Construction seeks an experienced construction leader to drive project delivery from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance.

You will develop plans, manage budgets, and coordinate teams with a focus on client satisfaction. Minimum 7 years with GC/CM, GMP/negotiated/hard bid/design-build experience, CSL or PMP, OSHA 10, and active Driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in construction, engineering, architecture, or related knowledge.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive construction management experience with GC or CM.
• Proven success independently managing projects between $5M-$10M.
• Experience with GMP, negotiated, hard bid, and design-build delivery methods.
• CSL or PMP certification and strong communication skills.
• OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain during pre-employment.

Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities

• Adhere to all Company Safety Policies and the Company Code of Conduct.
• Lead all phases of project delivery from preconstruction through closeout and warranty.
• Develop and manage project execution plans, logistics strategies, procurement plans, and staffing plans.
• Maintain overall responsibility for project safety, quality, schedule, client satisfaction, and financial performance.
• Develop, monitor, and update project budgets, cost forecasts, cost-to-complete projections, and cash flow analyses.
• Administer owner contracts, subcontract agreements, change orders, claims, and project correspondence.
• Lead project planning, constructability reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering efforts.
• Coordinate activities of project team members, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and client stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies.
• Lead project meetings and provide timely communication regarding project status, risks, and recovery plans.
• Identify and resolve project issues before they significantly impact cost, schedule, quality, or client relationships.
• Support business development pursuits, proposal preparation, client interviews, and relationship development activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contract requirements, safety programs, and quality standards.

Supervise Project Superintendent and other company employees and subcontractors.

Hiring Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or experience/knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management required.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive construction management experience with a General Contractor or Construction Manager.
• Demonstrated success independently managing projects between $5M-$10M.
• Experience with GMP, negotiated, hard bid, and design-build project delivery methods.
• Proven record of successful client relationship management and repeat business development.
• Vital; superior communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, empathy, etc.)
• Construction Supervisor License (CSL) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Demonstrable proficiency utilizing common scheduling software (P6, Microsoft Project etc.)
• OSHA 10 Construction Certification, or ability to obtain during pre-employment (company provided online training).
• Obtain and maintain a DOT medical card and pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid unrestricted Driver's License.
