What We Offer
- Compensation: Yearly Salary $115,000 - $125,000

Overview
The Nexus Water Group team has an opportunity for a Project Manager - Utilities. This role oversees water and wastewater utility construction projects from contract negotiations through startup and warranty termination.
Work Location and Schedule
Based in Charlotte, NC with some travel.
What You'll Do
- Manage complex technical projects, meeting goals and deadlines.
- Create and maintain activity and progress reports for stakeholders.
- Handle project development from start to finish.
- Hire, direct, evaluate, and discipline Construction Inspectors.
- Obtain engineering proposals, monitor budgets, coordinate construction with operations.
- Track project expenses and hours.
- Coordinate daily activities and personnel.
- Process invoices and paperwork promptly.
- Ensure project success within time and budget constraints.
- Notify management of escalations or issues affecting project success.
- Coordinate emergency project approvals.
- Travel regularly between worksites.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years engineering experience, preferably in water/wastewater projects.
Education and Licenses
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Preferred Qualifications
- MS or MBA preferred.
- PE license preferred.
- Familiarity with water modeling software preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Mathematical calculation skills.
- Ability to interpret soil and hydrogeological reports.
- Ability to complete work for project approval timely.
- Accurate record-keeping and reporting skills.
