Job Description
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the implementation of APX Next/N70 Radios & Smart Applications and the Command Central software suite, bridging the gap between field‑captured evidence and our cutting‑edge Assist AI platforms. The PM acts as the leader and focal point for all aspects of the project, delivering the contractual scope on schedule and within budget while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Must be able to utilize PM tools to analyze complex issues, develop resolutions, allocate resources, and communicate directly with customers and internal stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- End‑to‑end deployment leadership: manage projects from initial order receipt and investigation through to final completion, using Airtable to build and maintain deployment plans.
- Order validation & strategic coordination: collaborate closely with Motorola Sales Representatives to review incoming orders, validate accuracy, and recommend corrections prior to deployment.
- Technical integration: review and validate radio code plugs to ensure correct configuration for smart applications, coordinating with internal technical teams to onboard these applications.
- Cross‑functional issue resolution: act as the primary technical liaison, applying out‑of‑the‑box thinking to quickly identify internal resources to resolve customer roadblocks.
- Process excellence: use established project management methodologies, including Six Sigma, to maximize efficiency, monitor performance, and ensure milestones meet quality and financial targets.
- Team motivation: foster a high‑performance environment, keeping the team motivated and focused on delivery objectives.
Preferred Skills
- Strong presentation and negotiating skills, bridging technical teams, sales, and the customer.
- PMP highly desired.
- Experience with mobile video technology, wireless/LTE infrastructure, and evidence management software.
- Self‑motivated team player able to work effectively with general guidance toward objectives.
- Proficiency in Airtable, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with radio code plugs a strong plus.
- Critical thinking and problem‑solving: connect the dots across complex systems and teams, creatively solving problems when no standard playbook exists.
Travel Requirements
Travel required: 25–50%. Remote position with location restrictions to Chicago, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, or Washington.

Basic Requirements
- High school diploma plus bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Finance, IT, Management, or Technology.
- Mid‑level Project Manager with at least 2 years of experience in Project, Program, or Product Management.
- Ability to obtain background clearance as required by government customers.
Salary
Target base salary range: $80,000 – $85,000 USD.
