Job description

KEITH is a multi-disciplined consulting engineering firm looking for a self-motivated and experienced Project Manager / Civil Engineer with roadway experience to join our Transportation team in our Orlando, FL office. The successful candidate must have FDOT design experience, as they will be required to work on FDOT design projects, and will need to have the knowledge of fundamental engineering processes required to carry out the concurrent planning, design, production, and construction of our engineering projects. Collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to produce technically complex design plans and reports is a must.

What you'll do:

1. Develop detailed designs.
2. Prepare and implement project plans.
3. Research and provide estimates for projects.
4. Review government regulations and ordinances.
5. Make recommendations or present alternative solutions to problems.
6. Apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks as part of a broader assignment.
7. Perform basic design tasks.
8. Assign tasks to and coordinate with Engineers, Technicians, and administrative staff.
9. Interact with staff, general public, officials, and contractors.

Job Qualifications:

1. Florida EIT or PE license preferred.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
3. Must have experience with Microstation and/or ORD (Open Roads Designer).
4. Must have FDOT design experience.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Bluebeam.
6. Capable of roadway plans production.
7. Independent personality, pro-active, enthusiastic, self-starter with a good attitude who pays attention to details and is willing to work in a supportive, fast-paced environment.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work with clients and colleagues at all levels.
