Job Summary

As a Civil Engineer with Civil 3D experience within the Engineering division, you will be placed within a US client organization to perform the following tasks:

• Drafting and detailing: Generate plans, sections, and details using Civil 3D from sketches and verbal instructions. Transform survey information, sketches, and concept designs into construction plans, including existing conditions, site plans, grading, drainage, utility plans, roadway and profile drawings, street intersection designs, hydraulic structures, survey records, plats, ALTA, and subdivision maps. Perform map checking.
• Review and correction: Collaborate with engineers to modify plans based on mark-ups and revisions. Revise plans according to feedback from clients, managers, or reviewers. Conduct self-review for completeness and accuracy before submission.
• Construction documentation: Provide CAD drafting support for plan sets, exhibits, and details. Organize and coordinate drafted documents.
• Coordination and Documentation: Coordinate designs with architects and other engineers. Maintain all CAD files related to projects.

Key Responsibilities

The candidate should be able to:

• Master Civil 3D design components and drafting techniques.
• Produce improvement plans and exhibits using AutoCAD and Civil 3D under the supervision of a Licensed Civil Engineer.
• Draft plan and profile views for various improvements and detailed grading plans.
• Create and manipulate construction details and cross sections.
• Understand presentation methods based on agency requirements.
• Prepare topographic, survey, plat, ALTA, and subdivision maps, and perform map checking.
• Analyze reports, maps, drawings, and aerial photographs for project planning and design.
• Perform boundary calculations, analysis, and field support calculations.
• Address redlined comments from agencies or reviews.
• Review sketches, drawings, and specifications for conformance to design concepts.
• Generate earthwork models and perform quantity calculations using Civil 3D tools.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience across various project stages is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in land development projects using Civil 3D, including soil erosion, site layout, grading, and utility management.

Desirable skills and experience

• US project experience preferred.
• Experience in land development, surveying, and possibly highways.
• Knowledge of US county codes and standards.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and manage multiple projects.
• Ability to showcase work through examples.

Shift Timings: 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM IST

Location: Work from home (full-time)
