Job summary

Musco Construction Services Team in Oskaloosa, IA is seeking a Project Manager to oversee lighting projects from bid through completion. The role requires coordinating communications, scheduling, RFQs, and installation across Musco projects worldwide.

Responsibilities include developing scopes of work, commissioning lighting systems, training customers, and ensuring final inspections and close-out reports. Travel 60-70% is typical with 2-4 overnight stays weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• Willing to travel globally on a regular basis.
• Ability to read and interpret project specifications, construction and electrical drawings.
• Knowledge of construction processes and practices; strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal and external communications after the Purchase Order is received.
• Assist the sales representative with pre-sale site visits as needed.
• Develop Musco’s scope of work for projects.
• Create and evaluate RFQs for subcontractors.
• Coordinate delivery, storage, and installation of Musco projects.
• Process Change Orders and communicate to the Musco Team.
• Commission lighting systems to verify installation and operation.
• Provide customer training on lighting system controls.
• Ensure final inspections are completed and provide customers with project close-out report.
• Approve payment of invoices and notify Credit department for final billing.
• Provide technical support during installation and commissioning of lighting systems.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred. Working knowledge of communication networks. Related work experience also considered.
• Must be willing to travel globally.
• Ability to interpret and understand project specifications, construction, and electrical drawings.
• Knowledge related to construction processes and practices.
• Displays excellent technical and mechanical aptitude.
• Computer oriented; Word and Excel necessary; basic AutoCAD skills are beneficial.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Work well under pressure.
• Flexible and tolerates change.
• Must be willing to travel weekly to remote project locations; with overnight stays 2-4 nights/week on average. 130-150 travel days a year should be planned, but subject to change as demand requires.
• Energetic and enjoys working with people.
• Maintains high standard of professionalism.
• Team and goal oriented.
