Job summary

Musco-Sports-Lighting is seeking a Project Manager in Oskaloosa, IA to lead project coordination for Musco lighting projects. The role requires a construction management background, strong communication skills and the ability to travel globally.

You will manage RFQs, coordinate delivery and installation, and provide technical support during installation and commissioning, with heavy overnight travel and customer training responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• Working knowledge of communication networks and drawings.
• Experience with construction processes and practices.
• Excellent technical and mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel; basic AutoCAD helpful.
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and under pressure.
• Willingness to travel globally and 60%-70% overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Be the lead point of contact for internal and external communications on POs.
• Assist the sales representative with pre-sale site visits as needed.
• Develop Musco’s scope of work.
• Create and evaluate RFQs for subcontractors.
• Coordinate delivery, storage, and installation of Musco projects.
• Process Change Orders and communicate to the Musco Team.
• Commission lighting systems to verify installation and operation.
• Provide customer training on the operation of lighting system controls.
• Ensure final inspections are completed and provide customers with project close-out report.
• Approve payment of invoices and notify Credit department to final billing.
• Provide technical support during installation and commissioning of lighting systems.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Musco Construction Services Team has an opening for a Project Manager in Oskaloosa, IA. If your experience aligns with the qualifications outlined below, we look forward to hearing from you!

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred. Working knowledge of communication networks. Related work experience also considered.
• Must be willing to travel globally.
• Ability to interpret and understand project specifications, construction, and electrical drawings.
• Knowledge related to construction processes and practices.
• Displays excellent technical and mechanical aptitude.
• Computer oriented; Word and Excel necessary; basic AutoCAD skills are beneficial.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Work well under pressure.
• Flexible and tolerates change.
• Must be willing to travel weekly to remote project locations; with overnight stays 2-4 nights/week on average. 130-150 travel days a year should be planned, but subject to change as demand requires.
• Energetic and enjoys working with people.
• Maintains high standard of professionalism.

• 60%-70% Overnight travel will be typical
