Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. seeks a senior civil/transportation engineer to lead highway design projects in South Carolina, building client relationships and delivering design solutions for DOT, counties, and cities.

You will mentor junior staff, manage proposals and business development efforts, and ensure adherence to DOT design standards while collaborating with contractors and owners on innovative construction approaches.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or transportation engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of South Carolina.
  • 8+ years of highway design experience.
  • Proven understanding of DOT design standards.
  • Experience managing and mentoring staff.
  • Experience with project management, proposal development, and business development.
  • Strong working technical knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong active listening and team building skills.
  • Possess valid driver’s license.
