Capital Projects Project Manager – Transportation Focus

Salary Range:
Senior Project Manager: $93,815 – $154,796/year

Join the Capital Projects Department in Forsyth County and lead the development and delivery of essential transportation infrastructure projects. As a Project Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of planning, budgeting, design coordination, and construction management—ensuring our roadways and infrastructure projects are built safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end transportation infrastructure projects (planning through construction)
Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders
Oversee roadway design and ensure regulatory compliance
Monitor budgets, timelines, and quality standards
Serve as a subject matter expert in transportation construction management
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, construction management, public administration)
Two or more years of experience in roadway design coordination, construction management, or inspection
Certifications such as Wastewater Collection Operator, Water Distribution Operator, and Erosion Control may be required or must be obtained within one year of hire
Same degree requirements as above
Five or more years of experience in roadway design coordination, construction management, or inspection
Certifications such as Wastewater Collection Operator, Water Distribution Operator, and Erosion Control may be required or must be obtained within one year of hire
Senior Project Manager
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Five or more years of relevant experience
Required: Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Georgia
Certifications such as Wastewater Collection Operator, Water Distribution Operator, and Erosion Control may be required or must be obtained within one year of hire
