Overview
MSA has an opportunity for a full time Project Manager - Transportation. The position can be based in any of the following Wisconsin offices: Appleton, Baraboo, Beaver Dam, Kiel, Madison, Marshfield, Milwaukee, Rhinelander, Rice Lake as well as Duluth, MN. The location of this position, including a remote working option, is flexible based upon experience. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to see, and contribute in, projects from start to finish. The various projects you'll be working on make a significant and positive impact on the communities you serve.
Responsibilities
The work you will do
- Project management including project planning, scoping, budgeting and QA/QC
- Client relations including virtual or applicable in person meetings with existing and new clients
- Design of transportation infrastructure projects
- Preparation of details, specifications, and bidding documents
- Preparation of technical reports and regulatory permits for projects
- Review and respond to proposals for projects with assistance from MSA team members
- Assist with mentoring junior staff
- Construction observation
Qualifications
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
- Minimum of 10 years of mobility/transportation engineering experience is required
- PE license required (WI PE preferred)
- WisDOT project experience preferred
- Previous client liaison and project management experience or a desire to step into that role is required
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Desire to work in a consulting environment
