Job summary

Ultimate Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Project Manager with telecommunications infrastructure expertise to lead large-scale client initiatives. You will manage structured cabling, low-voltage builds, site rollouts, moves/adds/changes, and repairs across multiple sites, ensuring on-time delivery.

The role involves coordinating field technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams, developing detailed project plans, and maintaining proactive client communications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project management experience in telecommunications infrastructure.
• Experience with structured cabling (copper/fiber) and low-voltage systems.
• Experience with telecom construction or site buildouts.
• Experience deploying voice / data / phone systems (VoIP or legacy).
• Strong communication and cross-site coordination skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Manage infrastructure projects including structured cabling, MACs, and repairs.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and status reports.
• Serve as primary client contact and communicate progress and risks.
• Coordinate field technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Oversee material procurement, equipment rentals, and warehouse logistics.
• Support Junior Project Managers and multi-site telecom workstreams.
• Ensure project closeout and invoicing readiness.

Job description

Do you have project management experience in the telecommunications industry? Specifically, experience leading large-scale client projects involving structured cabling, phone system deployments, construction coordination, technology rollouts, office moves, and site consolidations. This role is focused on telecom infrastructure and field operations, making it an ideal fit for professionals with experience managing low-voltage installations, network cabling projects, construction-related initiatives, and cross-functional teams in the field. This is not a software development or IT application project management position.

Details

Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday Location: In office for training and then a rotating schedule: 1 week in office / 1 week from home Type: Direct hire (permanent with benefits) Pay: $70K-$80K annually depending on experience level

Duties

• Manage a wide range of telecommunications infrastructure projects, including structured cabling installs, low-voltage construction, site rollouts, moves/adds/changes (MACs), and repair work
• Build and execute detailed project plans, schedules, and status reports
• Act as the primary client point of contact, providing proactive communication on progress, scope changes, risks, and issue resolution
• Coordinate internal teams, field technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery
• Manage material procurement, equipment rentals, and warehouse logistics
• Oversee field technician dispatch, check-in/check-out, and real-time support for scope clarification
• Maintain accurate documentation across dispatches, work orders, materials, rentals, and expenses within internal systems
• Track and manage deliverables through project and document management tools
• Ensure timely and accurate project closeout and invoicing readiness
• Provide guidance and support to Junior Project Managers
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple concurrent, unrelated telecom workstreams

Requirements

• 3+ years of Project Management experience in telecommunications infrastructure ( required )
• Proven experience managing: Structured cabling (copper/fiber)
• Low-voltage systems
• Telecom construction or site buildouts
• Voice / data / phone system deployments (VoIP or legacy)
• Strong understanding of coordinating field technicians and physical network deployments across multiple sites
• Experience with rollouts, site surveys, and multi-location deployments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and cross-functionally
• Strong customer service mindset with proven client relationship management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• High energy, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
