Job summary

Delta Air Lines, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager for TechOps Finance to partner with Engine Maintenance leadership.

You will drive cost efficiency, process improvements, and financial performance through analytics, forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration. The role emphasizes close engagement with shop floor operations and product line owners to understand value streams, supplier contracts, and the annual operating plan.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in finance, operations or analytics
  • Strong project management, financial analysis, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills with the ability to distill complex topics into a cohesive story using metrics and data
  • Forward thinking, self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills and an inclusive approach
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Own Engine Product Line P&Ls reporting, weekly forecast, long-range outlook and annual operating plan support
  • Streamline financial processes and improve partner visibility to performance
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis to identify business challenges and opportunities
  • Support monthly close and maintain internal controls
  • Spend time on shop floor to observe processes and learn value streams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with operations
  • Partner with Product Line owners to understand supplier contracts

The TechOps Finance team is seeking an innovative and results-drivenindividual for the Project Manager – TechOps Finance role. This positionwill be supporting Delta Air Lines Engine Maintenance operation and willserve as a key business partner to operations leadership, driving costefficiency, process improvement, and financial performance. The successfulcandidate will have a continuous improvement mindset and thrives in adynamic, team-oriented environment.

Key responsibilities for this position include:
  • Ownership of Engine Product Line P&Ls, creating insightfulreporting, owning weekly forecast process, developing long-range financialoutlook, and supporting the annual operating plan process

  • Streamline and automate financial processes and improving businesspartner visibility to financial performance

  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and identify business challenges andopportunities

  • Support the monthly financial close and ensure proper internalcontrols

  • Drive engagement through spending significant time on the shop floorto observe processes, understand value streams, and learn the actual flow ofparts

  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to align financial goalswith operational strategies

  • Partner with Product Line owners to gain an in-depth understandingof supplier contracts

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
  • At least 5 years of experience in finance, operations oranalytics-based role

  • Strong project management, financial analysis, and decision-makingskills with the ability to manage multiple projects and workflows in astructured manner

  • Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills.Demonstrated ability to distill complex business topics into a cohesivestory using metrics and data

  • Forward thinking, self-starter that has a proven ability to workindependently

  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-buildingskills. Fosters an inclusive environment that values diverse people,thinking and styles

  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, andpersonal data.

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in theUnited States.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
  • Prior experience with financial / accounting processes

  • Knowledge of Delta financial systems or TechOps data and systems

  • Experience with data querying and analysis highly valued

  • Past experience with optimizing financial or operational processes

  • Undergraduate / graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics orquantitative major strongly preferred

  • Ability to influence without direct authority and drive change in across-functional environment.

  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a proactiveapproach.
