Job description

How You'll Help Us Keep Climbing (Overview & Key Responsibilities)

Delta TechOps is on a journey to achieve strong double-digit growth and accretive margins year over year as we continue to target tripling our revenues into the next decade. This feat can only be achieved by developing, selling, and carrying out strategic and creative solutions for our TechOps Commercial customers. Each deal that Sales brings in must be evaluated by the Commercial Products Sales Support Team.

As a Commercial Products Sales Support Manager, you will be responsible for managing the complete lifecycle and development of the deal execution process, including on‑time delivery of high‑quality solutions and proposals aligned with customer outcomes and business profitability/risk profiles for engine, component, and piece part product offerings.

The role requires leading communications at all organizational levels, including leading deal reviews with senior and executive leadership. You will serve as the sole point of contact for sales managers/account managers, coordinating with business units and other contributing departments to create and customize standard proposals. You will lead and drive the deal team to develop bid requirements related to technical, financial, and commercial inputs to support strategy development and risk management. Additionally, you will act as a liaison between Sales Managers and the Business, participate in customer negotiations from both functional/technical and commercial perspectives, and review Customer contractual agreements to ensure compliance with approved price levels, terms, and cycle commitments, coordinating hand‑offs to Project Execution teams.

The Commercial Products Sales Support Manager will serve as the subject matter expert for overhauling our current engine, component, and piece part cost models, and developing creative deal offerings (i.e. PBH/PBC, cost‑plus, value based) for our customers to meet their needs while improving deal profitability. The individual should have the ability to process disparate data from both internal (Engineering, Finance, Delta Materials Services [DMS], Engine Maintenance, Component Maintenance) and external (customers, OEM catalogs, industry publications) sources, possess strong financial modeling capabilities and have experience building efficient sensitivity analyses.

Required Qualifications
  • Five plus years of experience in a highly technical or analytical role in commercial services, finance, engineering, or supply chain within the MRO / Aviation (or similar industries).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional deals and/or projects, getting all required inputs and approvals from key stakeholders across engineering, supply chain, materials and finance.

  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical data and concepts in simple terms for all to understand.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel with the team to customer sites (as needed).
