Project Manager – Technology Systems
We’re looking for a Project Manager to join our Technology Systems team at Egan. In this role you will drive project success, managing multiple projects from kickoff to closeout and ensuring alignment with Egan’s Milestone Based Delivery (MBD) standards. You will lead cross‑functional teams, oversee financial performance, and maintain strong internal partnerships while advancing the company’s mission, vision and values.
Responsibilities
- Project Setup & Planning: Assist project teams in planning, setting up, and managing construction projects from kickoff to closeout.
- MBD Compliance: Navigate and use Egan’s proprietary Project Management systems, adhering to the MBD framework.
- Document Control: Analyze construction documents, develop clear interpretations, and oversee accurate generation and updating of As‑Built documents.
- Scale Leadership: Manage projects ranging from small to large‑scale, assuming primary leadership responsibilities for each assigned task.
- Resource Coordination: Conduct effective pre‑planning meetings, maximize resources during the buyout process, and support efficient shop/field performance.
- Financial & Administrative Management: Prepare day‑to‑day administrative items including supply requisitions, RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings; prepare billings, cost forecasts, change orders, and pricing; manage all financial aspects of contracts to maintain profitability and positive cash flow.
- Field Operations & Collaboration: Advise project management of potential problems; visit job sites as required; maintain strong relationships with field personnel; conduct safety visits; participate in coordination and owner/architect/engineer meetings; pursue additional work through change orders; serve as a “Knowledge Ambassador” to support company mission.
- Professional Development & Leadership: Investigate risk situations and implement corrective measures; promote a positive safety culture; pursue continuous learning and career development opportunities through internal resources and “Team Egan” initiatives.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in the construction, limited energy or electrical/HVAC industry or completion of a 2‑year construction education program.
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, technical specifications, and project schedules.
- OSHA‑30 certification within six (6) months of hire (if not already certified).
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of business development, preconstruction, construction methods, project planning, scheduling, cost reporting, and budgeting.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and/or MS Office; experience with ERP systems and a collaborative attitude toward system integration.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills; ability to articulate complex project information to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Adaptable to changing priorities and site conditions; willing to take on new tasks with a positive attitude.
- Accountable, approachable, respectful, and easy to work with.
Working Conditions
- Performance of duties in office, customer sites, and job sites as needed.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Exposure to loud noise, dirt, and environmental elements on job sites.
- Climbing ladders/stairs, uneven ground, bending, kneeling, and twisting expected on job sites.

Salary
$73,440 – $91,800 (subject to experience, education, and skill set) plus potential annual discretionary bonus. Eligible for an auto allowance and gas card.
