Lockport Steel is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects across the Chicagoland and Midwest regions. You will manage the day-to-day contract scope from award to closeout, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence while serving as the main point of contact for GCs and customers.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 3 years of PM experience in construction or steel fabrication.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
• Proficiency in reading architectural and structural drawings.
• Knowledge of AIA billing procedures (G702/G703).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Aufgaben

• Follow established Lockport Steel PM policies and procedures.
• Review project documents to understand scope, specs, schedules, and contracts.
• Manage multiple structural steel and metals projects from award through closeout.
• Develop project schedules, sequencing, and installation coordination strategies.
• Coordinate shop drawings, submittals, approvals, fabrication schedules, and field installation.
• Prepare, submit, and track RFIs.
• Identify scope changes, prepare change orders and track approvals.
• Prepare and manage monthly pay apps using AIA G702 and G703.
• Coordinate activities with customers, architects, engineers, fabricators, erectors, and field personnel.
• Monitor budgets, schedules, and overall project performance.
• Resolve day-to-day project issues while maintaining customer relationships.
• Lead project closeout activities, including punch lists and final documentation.
