Job summary

Jobot is seeking a seasoned Permanent Project Manager specialized in Structural Steel to lead end-to-end projects from inception to completion in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The role requires strong organization, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management to keep projects on time and within budget.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of PM in manufacturing structural steel, proficiency in Excel and MS Project, and excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in project management within manufacturing, specifically structural steel.
• Experience in cost analysis, budgeting, procurement, scheduling, risk assessment, negotiation, subcontracting, and blueprint reading.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of structural steel projects from inception to completion.
• Conduct detailed cost analysis and budgeting to ensure financial feasibility of projects.
• Develop comprehensive project schedules and timelines with strict adherence.
• Carry out risk assessments and develop contingency plans.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation.
• Ensure projects comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Use Excel and MS Project to track progress and report status.
• Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cost analysis, budgeting, procurement, scheduling, risk assessment, negotiation, subcontracting, and blueprint reading.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations relating to structural steel.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
• Professional Project Management (PMP) certification is preferred.
