Qualifications

A well-established and highly respected construction firm is expanding its Indianapolis team and is seeking an experienced Project Manager. Position Overview

The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, financial management, scheduling, and execution of assigned construction projects. This individual will work closely with clients, subcontractors, superintendents, project executives, and internal project teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day status and progress of one or multiple construction projects.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, costs, and overall performance.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules through project completion.
• Establish project objectives, procedures, and performance expectations.
• Partner closely with Superintendents and field leadership to resolve construction issues and maintain project momentum.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for owners, clients, architects, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
• Lead and participate in OAC, preconstruction, subcontractor, and project meetings.
• Prepare and communicate reports related to project progress, costs, scheduling, and performance.
• Assist with proposals, RFP responses, and project interviews.
• Manage RFI and submittal processes in coordination with project leadership.
• Participate in estimating and preconstruction efforts for prospective projects.
• Review subcontractor scopes and assist with contract awards and negotiations.
• Manage the project change order and change management process.
• Establish and maintain effective communication processes with subcontractors and trade partners.
• Oversee project startup, including coordination of required documentation and processes.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for project permitting activities.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and manage project management software systems.
• Administer payment applications and participate in owner draw and billing review meetings.
• Mentor and support Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of construction project management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and project administration.
• Experience working with owners, architects, subcontractors, and field teams.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with construction project management and accounting software preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
