Job summary

Scott Humphrey Corporation in Indianapolis, IN seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, guiding teams, vendors, and owners to successful delivery.

You will develop and maintain schedules, budgets, cost forecasts, and project plans; review drawings and contracts; coordinate subcontractors; manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and closeout documentation; and ensure safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project management experience.
• Experience managing commercial construction projects.
• Big Box Retail or retail construction experience highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of scheduling, budgeting, contracts, cost control, and project administration.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, owners, and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout.

• Lead project meetings and maintain consistent communication with owners, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, purchase orders, and closeout documentation.
• Identify potential project risks and develop solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Track project costs, commitments, changes, and overall financial performance.
• Support preconstruction activities, estimating, bidding, subcontractor procurement, and project turnover.
• Ensure projects are completed in accordance with contract requirements, quality standards, and client expectations.
