Job summary

Fuscoe Engineering, Inc. in San Diego is seeking a Project Manager to lead civil design and project delivery for energy and land development projects.

You will manage scope, schedule, budget, client expectations, and coordinate with contractors, utilities, and agencies through entitlements to construction. The ideal candidate holds a BS in Civil Engineering, 10+ years of design experience, 3+ years as a central design figure mentoring others, and a PE license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Civil engineering design experience of at least 10 years.
• At least 3 years as central design figure, mentor to employees, and lead for overseeing workflow of projects.
• PE certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design and project delivery for energy and land development projects with focus on quality, schedule, budget, and client expectations.
• Provide direct client, contractor, utility, and agency interface and spearhead permitting and plan processing for energy projects.
• Support marketing, business development, lead finding, and pursuit of new work within the solar and broader energy market.
• Perform administrative and financial tasks such as invoicing, budget monitoring, proposals, change orders, team timecard approvals, and attendance at meetings.

What You’ll Do as a Project Manager:

• Lead civil engineering design and project delivery for utility-scale solar and energy related projects with a focus on quality, schedule, budget, and client expectations.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline from a four-year college or university and civil engineering design experience of at least 10 years.
• At least 3 years of experience serving as the central design figure, mentor to employees, and lead for overseeing workflow of projects.
• Excellent problem solving, decision-making, communication, and team building skills, and abilities to manage a land development project from start to finish (entitlements through construction support).
• PE certification required
