What You’ll Do
- Serve as a lead/senior civil engineer on a variety of site/civil project types.
- Take a leadership role and perform general and specific portions of projects or as part of a team with other experienced engineers.
- Work under supervision of a Program Manager, while organizing workload and working independently on project‑specific design tasks.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
- Serve as the primary client liaison, building and maintaining strong relationships while identifying opportunities for additional services.
- Prepare and review engineering plans, technical reports, calculations, and specifications to ensure quality and compliance.
- Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Prepare permits such as ERPs (Environmental Resource Permits), FDEP NPDES, SWPPP, grading, utilities (FDEP and FDOH), and civil support for local county/city site development permitting.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including planning, environmental, transportation, and surveying.
- Proactively identify risks and develop practical, cost‑effective solutions to keep projects on track.
- Ensure all designs meet local, state, and federal regulations as well as CPH’s high‑quality standards.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in site/civil engineering.
- Proven experience managing site development projects and client relationships.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain quickly) strongly preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Familiarity with local permitting processes and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with project management tools (such as Deltek Vision or Smartsheet) is a plus.
