AMPAM Parks Mechanical, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to lead medium-to-large HVAC service projects, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget targets are met.

You will direct project teams, manage financial performance, and serve as the main contact for clients, subs, and internal stakeholders. The role requires strong HVAC technical knowledge, proven budgeting and leadership capabilities, and experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Spectrum, and related CM software.

Job Summary

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the successful delivery of medium-to-large mechanical service projects. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager leads the project team, manages financial performance at the project level, and serves as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Project Leadership

• Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of assigned HVAC projects.
• Supervise Project Coordinators & Assistant Project Manager teams to achieve schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company standards.
• Conduct regular project meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication and accountability.

Financial & P&L Management

• Maintain project-level budgets, track costs, and ensure profitability targets are met.
• Monitor cash flow, forecast financial performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Lead change order management, cost recovery, and margin improvement strategies.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as primary contact for general contractors, architects, and engineers on assigned projects.
• Build strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction, repeat business, and positive references.
• Coordinate with Designers & Engineers and Purchasing Dept.

Team Development & Leadership

• Mentor Project Coordinators, Assistant Project Managers and other team members.
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence.
• Assist in recruiting and onboarding project staff as needed.

Operational Excellence

• Ensure adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Implement project controls, quality assurance, and reporting standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes and efficiencies.

Qualifications

• 5–12 years of progressive experience managing HVAC Service / owner direct projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage medium-to-large project budgets ($100k–$1M+).
• Proven track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, construction methods, and building codes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam, Spectrum and/or other construction management software.

Preferred Experience

• PMP, PE, DBIA, or CCM certification.
• Experience in design-build, IPD, alternative delivery projects
• Strong client network within Southern California markets.
