Job description

Company Overview:

When it comes to IT solution providers, there are a lot of choices. But when it comes to providers with innovative and differentiating end-to-end service offerings, there’s really only one: Zones – First Choice for IT.

Position Overview:

The Project Manager, Service Delivery, leads technology deployment projects from planning through closeout, ensuring delivery across schedule, scope, budget, customer communication, risk management, financial accuracy, and multi-site execution. This role requires strong problem-solving, clear verbal and written communication, sound judgment, and the ability to influence business and technical stakeholders in a dynamic environment. Project Manager II will manage projects of varying complexity, work with internal teams and customer stakeholders, improve repeatable workflows, and drive outcomes that improve speed, efficiency, cost, revenue, risk, or a combination of these. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, adaptable, and disciplined in risk and issue resolution guided by PMI principles.

What you will do as the Project Manager, Service Delivery

Project Manager, Service Delivery must apply independent judgment and demonstrate strong analytical decision-making. The immediate program will require collaboration within a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators; future assignments may involve smaller teams or independent ownership of one or more projects.

  • Effective project communications with team members and stakeholders.
  • Create effective weekly schedules for multiple sites that support goals and delivery timelines.
  • Examine each project end to end to understand inputs, deliverables, dependencies, and required tasks; then create Project Manager and Project Coordinator workflows that minimize duplication and are effective, efficient, and repeatable.
  • Own Project financial management by creating accurate financial forecasts and ensuring project costs and revenue are tracked and processed accurately.
  • Manage risks, issues, and RAID log items by identifying risks early, taking action to prevent them from becoming issues, driving quick resolution, investigating root causes, and preventing recurrence.
  • Create and measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) against baseline measurements developed as part of each project effort.
  • Interface directly with customers through email, on-camera video conferences, team channels, and chats while maintaining high customer satisfaction across all touchpoints.
  • Manage project scope by working with customers, solutioning and creating change requests.
  • Resolve tasks within appropriate time constraints through proper task management.
  • Create and provide weekly status reporting when requested.
  • Support project and team as required, including occasional Project Coordinator tasks and backup coverage of team members.
What you will bring to the team:
Education/Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • PMP, ITIL or equivalent Certification preferred.
Required Technical hardware
  • Ability to make occasional phone calls to customers.
  • Effective remote office setup with dual screens and reliable internet.
Required Experience
  • 5+ years of project management experience within a technology or operations environment.
  • Leadership skills: must have experience leading multiple small to mid-sized projects and teams.
  • Project experience involving multi-store or site deployments.
  • Ability to take ambiguous requirements, conduct investigation, and develop strategy.
  • Problem solving skills: must be able to identify risks and develop actionable mitigation plans.
  • Analytical skills: must be highly analytical with experience in using objective data to drive strategic recommendations.
  • Communications skills: must be able to concisely explain complex issues, communicate well in writing and verbally, and be able to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas.
  • Intellectual curiosity: must possess a desire to understand why/how things work vs. simply completing the task at hand.
Critical Software Skills
  • Experience using a major Project Management Software to perform billing or invoicing.
  • Strong MS office skills including Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong Smart Sheet skills including creating row reports, dynamic reports, formulas, linking sheets, and creating dashboards.
