Job summary

Continental is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementation, overseeing local initiation to post-go-live support. You will manage budgets, schedules, and multi‑workstream teams across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Sales while aligning with business objectives.

The role is hybrid, requiring up to 50% travel and strong SAP transformation expertise. You will partner with executives for governance, risk management, and successful change adoption

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Admin, Engineering, PM, Supply Chain or related field, or 4 years SAP experience in lieu of a degree.
• 2+ years of project management experience, including leading enterprise ERP implementations.
• 2+ years of SAP/ERP experience.
• Proven track record delivering complex, multi-workstream ERP transformation programs.
• Strong knowledge of PM methodologies (PMI, Agile, Hybrid, Waterfall).
• Experience managing budgets, timelines, resources, risks, and vendor relationships.
• Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Up to 50% travel based on location.

Responsibilities

• Lead local end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation projects from initiation through post-production support.
• Establish local project governance, communication plans, reporting structures, and escalation processes.
• Develop and maintain detailed local project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk registers.
• Monitor local project performance and ensure alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities.
• Facilitate steering committee meetings and provide executive-level status reporting.
• Collaborate with executive sponsors, business leaders, functional teams, IT teams, and external implementation partners.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive decision-making and issue resolution across cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate functional and technical workstreams including Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, Quality, and others as needed.
• Oversee local project deliverables, milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities.
• Ensure adherence to SAP Activate methodology and project management best practices.
• Manage scope, change requests, and project documentation.
• Identify local project risks, issues, and dependencies and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project quality metrics and ensure deliverables meet business and technical requirements.
• Partner with organizational change management teams to support user adoption.
• Ensure training plans, communications, and readiness activities are executed effectively.
• Support business process transformation and organizational alignment efforts.
• Oversee system integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment planning.
• Coordinate cutover activities and go-live readiness assessments.
• Lead post-go-live stabilization efforts and transition to operational support teams.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of a large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementation. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing all phases of the local implementation, including project initiation, requirements gathering, solutioning, system implementation, testing, training, deployment, and post-go-live support. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and SAP transformation experience to ensure delivery within scope, budget, timeline, and quality objectives. This role is Hybrid 3 days a week at any ContiTech site in the US.

• Familiarity with data migration, system integrations, testing strategies, and change management frameworks.
• 5+ years of project management experience, including leading enterprise ERP implementations.
