Job summary

Continental is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead plant-wide supply chain activities, from production planning to inventory and customer order support. You will align with global standards and drive efficiency across planning, scheduling, and purchasing functions.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in manufacturing supply chain, strong ERP/MRP skills, and proven leadership. Familiarity with SAP and collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field.
  • 7+ years of Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong ERP & MRP skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in minimizing inventory, raw materials, & WIP.
  • Experienced user of computer systems ERP/MRP/ Planning tools.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to manage others.
  • Able to handle conflicts and bring them to an amicable resolution.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to follow up and find solutions for material and logistical issues.
  • Able to be a change agent in an organization.
  • Able to develop strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and control all scheduling activities supporting assigned brands.
  • Balance production and inventory levels with demand to support service levels and capacity.
  • Develop Sales & Operating Plan summaries for product families.
  • Develop master production schedules for finished goods and components.
  • Calculate requirements for raw materials and packaging supplies using MRP.
  • Provide daily schedules by SKU to manufacturing and install production metrics.
  • Coordinate supply of finished goods to intercompany and distribution centers.
  • Correspond with plants and affiliates regarding requirements.
  • Achieve target service levels and inventory turns.
  • Review monthly sales forecasts and monitor DRP in SAP.

Job Description
Position Summary

Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading all supply chain activities within the plant. This role ensures efficient production planning, inventory management, and customer order support while aligning with the plant’s strategic objectives and global supply chain standards.

How You Will Make An Impact
  • Plan and control all scheduling activities supporting assigned brands
  • Balance production and inventory levels with demand to support target consistent with customer service levels, inventory turn goals, and capacity utilization/staffing requirements.
  • Develop Sales & Operating Plan summaries for assigned product families and selected product codes, including demand, inventory and production data
  • Develop master production schedules for finished goods and component items based on capacity requirements
  • Calculate the resulting requirements for raw materials, purchased parts and packaging supplies based on MRP methodology
  • Provides daily‑bucketed schedules by SKU to manufacturing and installs production compliance metrics to measure performance
  • Coordinate the supply of finished goods to intercompany and distribution centers.
  • Correspond with manufacturing plants, and international affiliates concerning requirements
  • Achieve target customer service levels and inventory turn levels based on forecast error and bias trends, manufacturing capacity/flexibility and customer service and inventory turn goals
  • Review monthly sales forecasts provided by the Plant Manager
  • Monitor monthly feed of sales forecasts to DRP module of SAP
  • Provide Purchasing with requisitions and vendor schedules.
  • Issue a monthly update of quarter‑end inventory investment and turn projections for finished goods.
  • Provide unit and dollar value figures along with an analysis of significant changes.
  • Issue actual versus scheduled production metrics weekly and ensure that 95% compliance to schedule is achievable
  • Participate in meetings and keep up to date on issues related to Sales Forecast, Manufacturing, and other issues.
  • Resolve issues by presenting various alternatives for decision at monthly SIOP meetings.
  • Identify materials with no further use and recommend disposition.
  • Develop valid, feasible production schedules for finished goods and component items based on equipment, labor, and raw material availability.
