Lead great projects. Make a real impact.
GreenSavers | Portland, OR | Full-time, exempt | $70,000–$75,000 annually
You know a successful installation starts before the crew arrives. You ask the right questions, notice the details, and take ownership of getting problems solved. If you bring residential construction project management experience and a working knowledge of residential HVAC, we would love to meet you.
GreenSavers is looking for a hands-on Project Manager to guide home energy efficiency projects from sales handoff through installation, closeout, and final payment. You will manage the moving parts, support our field teams, and give homeowners a clear, dependable point of contact.
Attics, crawlspaces, and active construction sites are a routine part of this job. Expect to walk jobsites, inspect installation conditions, and work directly with HVAC and weatherization crews. You need enough field knowledge to recognize potential issues, talk confidently with technicians, and know when to bring in the right technical expert.
What you will do
- Set projects up for success. Conduct pre-construction walkthroughs, including attic and crawlspace inspections; clarify scopes with homeowners and sales; identify installation challenges before crews arrive.
- Keep the field team equipped and informed. Ensure scopes, photos, inspection notes, materials, and resource needs are accurate and communicated. Coordinate with HVAC and weatherization leads, scheduling, sales, and production.
- Own the details through completion. Manage multiple projects, document scope changes, resolve issues, follow through on punch lists and test-out documentation, and secure final payment promptly.
- Build trust with homeowners. Set clear expectations, provide timely updates, and handle concerns and difficult conversations with professionalism and sound judgment.
- Keep projects moving when plans change. Help resolve scheduling gaps, call-outs, and unexpected site conditions with the appropriate leads and Production Manager.
- Make the team better. Share useful feedback with sales and production, improve workflows with the Production Manager, and help train and support project coordinators.
What success looks like
You anticipate problems, follow through without repeated reminders, and take responsibility for getting answers. You are as comfortable talking through an installation challenge with a field lead as you are explaining a scope change to a homeowner. You care about safety, workmanship, and the people doing the work.
