Job summary

Cardinal Health is hiring a Project Manager, Real Estate Development to support planning, coordination, and execution of small real estate and construction projects and assist senior team members on larger initiatives. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, or equivalent.
  • 1-5 years of experience in construction project coordination, facilities, or real estate development.
  • Basic understanding of construction processes and project management principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with MS Project or similar tools is a plus.
  • Exposure to AutoCAD or design tools; familiarity with data analysis or AI tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Senior Project Managers in real estate and construction project development and execution.
  • Manage small projects and minor facility improvements from initiation through closeout.
  • Coordinate project documentation: schedules, budgets, meeting notes, status reports.
  • Support prelim budgets, cost estimates, and capital approval materials.
  • Track progress and expenditures; flag risks or variances to senior team.
  • Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Assist with bid processes, vendor coordination, and contract documentation.
  • Maintain organized project files, drawings, and records.
  • Attend project meetings and document action items and follow-ups.
  • Support site visits and inspections to monitor progress and alignment.
  • Leverage digital tools, automation, and emerging AI capabilities to improve tracking.
  • Help develop internal tools or dashboards (Excel, Power BI, simple scripts, low-code).

What Real Estate Development contributes to Cardinal Health Facilities & Real Estate plans and directs facility maintenance and food services as well as real estate activities including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing and property development.

Real Estate Development develops concepts and designs for company facilities and manages property development projects within cost, time and quality requirements and constraints.

This job family liaises closely with contractors, architects, and consultants during each phase of the project.

Job Summary

The Project Manager, Real Estate Development supports the planning, coordination, and execution of small-scale real estate and construction projects while assisting senior team members on larger initiatives. This role provides administrative and project coordination support, helping ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project documentation including schedules, budgets, meeting notes, and status reports.
  • Support the preparation of preliminary budgets, cost estimates, and capital approval materials.
  • Track project progress, timelines, and expenditures; flag risks or variances to senior team members.
  • Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders (e.g., IT, Security, EH&S, Quality, Operations) and external partners (architects, contractors, consultants).
  • Assist with bid processes, vendor coordination, and contract documentation.
  • Maintain organized project files, drawings, and records.
  • Participate in project meetings and help document action items and follow-ups.
  • Support site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Build working relationships with internal clients and external vendors.
  • Leverage digital tools, automation, and emerging AI capabilities to improve project tracking, reporting, and team efficiency.
  • Assist in developing or enhancing internal tools, dashboards, or workflows (e.g., Excel models, Power BI, simple scripts, or low-code solutions) to streamline project management processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • 1- 5 years of experience in construction project coordination, facilities, or real estate development, preferred
  • Basic understanding of construction processes, project management principles, and building systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with Microsoft Project or similar tools is a plus
  • Exposure to AutoCAD or design tools is a plus
  • Familiarity with data analysis, automation, or emerging AI tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Automate, Copilot, or similar platforms) is strongly preferred
  • Basic coding or scripting experience (e.g., Python, VBA, SQL, or low-code platforms) is a plus, with interest in applying these skills to improve team processes
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow within the field
  • Ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to project sites as needed
