About the Role

Our client, a key agency focused on urban development and public infrastructure, is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee the planning and execution of public transport infrastructure projects in Welkom, Free State . This role is central to improving mobility and accessibility within the region. You will manage projects from the initial concept and feasibility stages through to design, construction, and implementation, ensuring projects meet community needs, regulatory requirements, and budget constraints. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering or urban planning, with proven experience in managing public infrastructure projects, particularly in the transportation sector. This is a vital role for contributing to the socio-economic development of Welkom and enhancing the daily lives of its residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and construction phases of public transport infrastructure projects, such as bus rapid transit systems, station upgrades, and related facilities.
• Develop detailed project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
• Manage project execution, monitoring progress, identifying risks, and implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, environmental regulations, and accessibility standards.

Requirements
