Paylocity is seeking a Project Manager for Process Optimization in a fully remote US-based role. You will partner with Product and Operations to prepare for complex product initiatives and ensure smooth implementation and adoption of new features.

Responsibilities include mapping processes, mitigating risks, and aligning cross-functional teams to minimize disruption and enhance client experience during launches. Strong communication and proactive problem solving are essential.

• Maintain documentation of operational and client concerns related to product changes and report risks, challenges, and resolutions to leadership via actionable plans.
• Collaborate with Product teams to identify and resolve operational and client-facing challenges before product launch.
• Provide insights into service readiness gaps, user experience improvements, and process optimizations to support a seamless product launch.
• Build and maintain relationships across Operations, Product, Client Experience, Implementation, and Sales teams to ensure alignment on business process impacts.
• Support Go-To-Market strategies by providing operational insights, assisting with training, and ensuring readiness for successful product rollouts.
• Act as a trusted advisor and lead collaboration between technical teams, service teams, and leadership to ensure successful product implementation and operational excellence.

This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home or location of record within the U.S. with no in-office requirements. Position Overview

The Project Manager Process Optimization is responsible for partnering with Product and Operations teams to prepare the organization for complex and advanced product initiatives to ensure successful implementation and adoption of new products and features. This role will also develop strategies to minimize disruptions and enhance both operational efficiency and the client experience during product launches.

• Identify and document risks, challenges, and areas for improvement by soliciting feedback from operations teams and stakeholders.
• Develop mitigation strategies and action plans to minimize disruption and enhance operational efficiency and the client experience.
• Maintain documentation of operational and client concerns related to product changes and report risks, challenges, and resolutions to leadership via actionable plans.
• Ensure critical operational or client risks are resolved prior to launch or communicate unresolved risks and mitigation plans to all stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Product teams to proactively identify and resolve operational and client facing challenges before product launch.
• Provide insights into service readiness gaps, user experience improvements, and process optimizations, contributing to a seamless product launch.
• Build and maintain strong relationships across Operations, Product, Client Experience, Implementation, and Sales teams to ensure alignment on business process impacts.
• Support Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies by providing operational insights, assisting with training, and ensuring readiness for successful product rollouts.
• Act as a trusted advisor and lead collaboration between technical teams, service teams, and leadership to ensure successful product implementation and operational excellence.

Education and Experience

• 2+ years of experience in operational process management or project management, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience in process mapping, including creating operational workflows and client journey maps, with proficiency in tools like Visio or Mural.
• Strong ability to analyze complex operational challenges and provide data-driven solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of product development, customer experience, and internal operations, with experience collaborating across teams (e.g., Sales, Client Services, Tech Operations).
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust and align teams toward common goals.
• Proactive, self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward.
• Ability to document, assess, and translate operational issues and risks into actionable insights and solutions.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to ensure operational readiness and successful product launches.
• Strong relationship-building skills, with a focus on expanding networks and continuously learning within the organization.

Physical requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7-8 hours a day.
• Use of computer and phone systems: The employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone systems, and type. This includes using multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.

The pay range for this position is $56,900 - $85,000 /yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here.
