This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home or location of record within the U.S. with no in-office requirements. Position Overview

The Senior Software Engineer leads technical initiatives and drives engineering excellence across our organization. This role combines technical expertise with leadership capabilities, focusing on architecting scalable solutions while mentoring and growing the engineering team.

• Architect and implement modular, maintainable software solutions that optimize for performance and scalability
• Lead feature and epic design discussions, gathering and incorporating feedback from cross-functional teams

• Identify and resolve technical ambiguities through systematic analysis and collaboration
• Own medium to large-scale projects from conception to delivery, requiring minimal supervision
• Coordinate across teams to identify and manage technical dependencies
• Maintain high-quality coding standards while meeting project timelines
• Champion best practices in software development, testing, and deployment
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and monitoring systems
• Provide detailed, actionable code reviews that enhance overall code quality
• Drive technical debt reduction initiatives and refactor legacy code

• Guide junior engineers in adopting best practices and modern development techniques
• Facilitate knowledge sharing through code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions
• Resolve conflicts independently when possible, escalating appropriately when needed
• Influence technical direction through well-reasoned arguments and demonstrated expertise

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivelant experience
• Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience
• Proven track record of leading significant technical initiatives
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Collaborative mindset with ability to influence peers
• Adaptable approach to changing requirements and priorities
• Experience with banking and money movement subject matters is desirable

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in software development languages and frameworks
• Demonstrated experience with agile development methodologies
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques
• Deep experience with C#, .NET, React, and SQL
• Experience with CI/CD tools, i.e. GitHub, Postman, Octopus, Datadog
• Deep understanding of system architecture principles
• AWS or similar cloud experience is desirable
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate code development is desirable

Physical requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7-8 hours a day.
• Use of computer and phone systems: The employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone systems, and type. This includes using multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.

The pay range for this position is $102,300- $146,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. Base pay information is based on market location.
