Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible for directing and performing consulting, design, or construction management services for assigned projects, ensuring work meets project objectives, performance metrics (e.g., client satisfaction, profitability), and quality standards. Key responsibilities include safety, subcontractor management, change management, project control and reporting, staffing, adherence to quality plans, and managing project budgets and schedules for consulting, design, or construction projects. The role also involves client relationship management to foster positive experiences that lead to future opportunities and accountability for project financial performance. This position may involve managing single or multiple projects.

This position can be filled at either the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager level, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications.

This position requires weekday onsite presence at the job site in Jefferson, WI, providing hands-on leadership and ensuring project success.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee consulting, design, or construction management services for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with objectives, performance metrics, and quality standards.
  • Manage critical project areas including safety, subcontractors, change control, project reporting, staffing, quality adherence, budgets, and schedules.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to create positive experiences and future opportunities.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution across all phases.
  • Obtain and maintain industry certifications such as PMP or AECPMA to enhance project management practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant project management experience, preferably in a design firm or field construction environment.
  • Proven leadership skills, ability to foster collaboration, and experience managing complex projects, especially involving process equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of core engineering disciplines, project execution, and delivery processes in design and construction.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience as an Assistant Project Manager or in a lead role managing specific areas of expertise.
