Job summary

Metric DCX seeks a Project Manager to support delivery of large-scale data center construction projects. This is a traveling, on-site role with regular site visits and coordination among owners, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.

Ideal candidates have 4–6+ years in construction or project management, data center experience, and strong communication, planning, and documentation skills. Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Approximately 4–6+ years of relevant construction or project management experience.
• Experience with commercial construction, mission-critical facilities, or data centers is preferred.
• Data center or mission-critical construction experience is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and project documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate project deliverables for large-scale data center construction projects.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including RFPs and status reports.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, owners, and internal project teams.
• Track project commitments, action items, milestones, and outstanding issues.
• Identify schedule, cost, quality, and coordination issues and escalate as needed.
• Respond to client and project-team questions accurately and timely.
• Participate in regular project and construction meetings.
• Conduct site walks and verify progress against requirements.
• Support project planning, procurement, and execution activities as required.
• Represent the project management team professionally with clients and construction partners.

About the Role

A leading global Owners-Rep and project management organization is seeking a Project Manager to support the delivery of large-scale data center construction projects in Texas.

This is a traveling project management position supporting active data center construction sites. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, comfortable working in fast-paced construction environments, and able to independently manage project deliverables while coordinating with owners, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate project deliverables for large-scale data center construction projects.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including:
• Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
• Status reports and other project controls
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, owners, and internal project teams.
• Track project commitments, action items, milestones, and outstanding issues.
• Identify potential schedule, cost, quality, and coordination issues and escalates them appropriately.
• Respond to client and project-team questions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in regular project and construction meetings.
• Conduct site walks and verify progress against project requirements.
• Help maintain alignment between project schedules, construction activities, and stakeholder expectations.

Travel Requirements

This is a traveling role supporting data center construction projects in Texas. This consists of 5 days a week on site.
