Qualifications

Overview

At Colliers Project Leaders, we help clients advance the built environment by assisting them in building innovative workplaces, businesses, and communities worldwide. We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Owner's Rep team in the Bay Area (South Bay), preferably with Data Center experience.


Responsibilities

Lead all aspects of assigned construction projects, including:

  1. Project setup, including budget and schedule creation and oversight.
  2. Development of RFPs, pre-bid planning, oversight, and coordination.
  3. Leading design phases and managing documents internally with stakeholder groups and SMEs.
  4. Coordinating and supervising contractors, whether traditional or design-build.
  5. Overseeing physical construction activities on-site.
  6. Leading commissioning of critical systems across new and existing data centers.
  7. Handing off data center and project documents to customers and operations.
  8. Managing contractor safety performance.
  9. Planning and coordinating logistics for OFCI equipment.
  10. Managing project scope, safety, schedule, stakeholders, work rules, and budget.
  11. Driving all construction aspects from pre-construction to project closeout.
  12. Acting as project leader, ensuring coordination among internal teams.
  13. Managing project management resources of General Contractors and vendors.
  14. Reporting to the Client's Special Projects team and manager.
  15. Managing project execution from concept to commissioning and preparing reports.
  16. Making day-to-day construction decisions.
  17. Performing QA/QC to ensure accuracy.
  18. Ensuring project work products meet client requirements.
  19. Tracking and establishing project budgets, submitting approval packages.
  20. Collaborating on project forecasts and managing contractor agreements.
  21. Managing vendor and contractor relationships.
  22. Reviewing billing and confirming budget adherence.
  23. Facilitating lessons learned for continuous improvement.
  24. Coordinating project turnover documentation with Operations.
  25. Working closely with Operations on design and maintenance coordination.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of project management experience, with 8-12 years preferred.
  • Strong technical construction experience required.
  • Data Center and General Contractor experience preferred.
  • Experience in CSA and MEP construction management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project, or P6; knowledge of Procore is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Excellent English comprehension and communication skills.

Compensation: $120,000 to $150,000 annually, depending on qualifications.
