Overview
We are looking for a dynamic Project Manager to provide ongoing strategic management of outcomes and research initiatives from inception to execution within our Outpatient Rehabilitation Division. As a Project Manager, you’ll drive success through tactical daily planning, resource optimization, and key-member collaboration. Reporting to the Vice President of Outcomes and Research, this role will also work with Shared Services leadership and Regional Operations leaders to deliver high-impact projects that align with our organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Completes and manages assigned projects under the Vice President of Outcomes and Research
- Develops and executes comprehensive project plans, adapting strategies to meet evolving business needs
- Drives day-to-day project operations while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
- Coordinates cross-functional resources, including internal teams, vendors, and business partners
- Maintains rigorous project documentation and deliverable quality standards; keeps track of lessons learned and shares with the team members
- Implements proactive risk-management strategies and mitigation plans, minimizing the company’s exposure and risk on projects
- Assesses and anticipates problem situations that arise, identifies causes, gathers and processes relevant information to generate solutions and/or makes recommendations
- Oversees project budgets including tracking consultant hours, expenses, and vendor activities
- Ensures accurate financial reporting and timely processing of project related expenses
- Plans and communicates with business/customer, leadership, vendors and other key stakeholders regarding status, milestones, and issue resolution
- Facilitates and holds regular status meetings effectively with project teams
- Communicates difficult/sensitive information appropriately
- Identifies opportunities for policy and procedure improvements to support business growth
- Navigates complex situations with diplomatic communication skills
- Effectively applies project management methodology and enforces project standards
- Manages the process of innovative change effectively. Remains on the forefront of emerging PM practices and seeks to develop new ways to improve operations within the division
- Build and maintain effective relationships with all business stakeholders
- Keeps project team well informed of changes within the division and general company news as it impacts the project
- Recognizes potential areas where policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business or project expansion. Submit recommendations as appropriate
- Monitors rapidly changing environment and recommends cost efficient techniques to adjust as needed
- Some travel may be required
Qualifications
- BS or BA in Business, Management, Healthcare Management or related field equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in healthcare administration (outpatient rehabilitation preferred, but not required), outcomes management, research, value based care or similar roles
- Minimum of 5 years working in healthcare with combined prior experience as technical lead or technical Project Manager
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
- Clinical licensure preferred, but not required
- Proven experience in project management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and tactically
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration across diverse teams
- A proactive approach to resource optimization and process improvement
