Virtual Labs in the United States is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead Oracle Fusion Cloud implementations and end-to-end M&A integration initiatives.
You will coordinate IT PMO, Finance, HR, and Supply Chain leaders, delivering complex ERP transformations with minimal business disruption and scalable playbooks for post-merger integration.
The role requires 8+ years in IT project management and strong Oracle Fusion experience, with a track record of successful acquisitions integrations.
The Senior IT Project Manager, Oracle Fusion & M&A Integration is a delivery leader responsible for driving Oracle Fusion Cloud implementations and managing the end-to-end technology onboarding of acquired companies.
Reporting into IT Leadership and working in direct lockstep with the IT PMO, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, and business unit leaders, this role ensures acquisitions are migrated onto enterprise platforms swiftly, predictably, and with zero business disruption. You will lead cross-functional workstreams across both large-scale ERP transformation programs and high-velocity M&A integrations to realize transaction synergies and business value.
1. Oracle Fusion Program & Project Delivery
Lifecycle Delivery: Direct end-to-end delivery of Oracle Fusion Cloud programs (Financials, SCM, and EPM)—from discovery and architecture design through build, testing, cutover, and hypercare.
Workstream Alignment: Coordinate functional and technical tracks across core modules, including:
Financials: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management.
Supply Chain & Operations: Procurement, Inventory Management, Order Management.
Technical & Integration Governance: Direct integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), high-volume data loads (FBDI / HDL), and operational reporting (OTBI, BI Publisher) in collaboration with enterprise data and architecture teams.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Define and govern testing frameworks across System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing for Oracle's quarterly release cycles, and cutover simulations.
Standardization: Enforce Oracle modern best practices—maximizing standard configuration, restricting custom extensions, and establishing sustainable release-management patterns.
Due Diligence to Cutover: Lead the IT workstream through all phases of M&A: pre-close technical due diligence, Day 1 operational readiness, Transition Service Agreement (TSA) execution, and final system integration.
IT Due Diligence: Assess target company applications, infrastructure, licensing, security, compliance postures, and organizational structures to identify integration risks, transition costs, and synergy timelines.
Day 1 / Day 100 Roadmaps: Build and execute tactical playbooks for critical business continuity:
Identity, access, and directory consolidation (SSO/IAM).
Network interconnectivity, email, collaboration tools, and endpoint migrations.
Interim financial reporting and operational handoffs.
ERP Consolidation: Drive target entity migration into Oracle Fusion, leading chart of accounts (COA) mapping, legal entity/ledger setups, historic data conversion, and process harmonization.
TSA Management: Define and manage TSA scope, SLA performance, service cost models, and separation milestones to ensure rapid, clean exits without cost overruns.
M&A Playbook Optimization: Develop reusable M&A playbooks, checklists, conversion templates, and runbooks to make onboarding scalable and repeatable.
Stakeholder Alignment: Serve as the primary liaison between executive sponsors, business process owners, steering committees, and corporate development leads; deliver transparent executive reporting and risk assessments.
Scope & Change Control: Run disciplined change control procedures evaluating scope modifications against budget, schedule, and resource limits.
Risk & Compliance: Enforce SOX compliance, internal financial controls, segregation of duties (SoD) in Oracle security profiles, and enterprise data privacy/infosec policies across all project phases.
Budget & Partner Management: Manage systems integrators (SIs), specialized consulting partners, and Oracle vendor teams against Statements of Work (SOWs), milestone sign-offs, and SLAs. Track project budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditures.
PMO Standards: Leverage hybrid delivery methodologies (Waterfall for cutover/financial control milestones; Agile/Scrum for configuration sprints and backlog refinement) using tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, and MS Project.
Partner with business unit leads and training teams to evaluate process change impact, design role-based training programs, and accelerate user adoption across business units and newly integrated acquisitions.
Lead formal cutover plans, war-room command centers, hypercare support handoffs, and operational stabilization.
Establish and track post-launch KPIs to measure realization of business case synergies and process efficiencies.
8+ years of progressive IT Project / Program Management experience leading complex enterprise software initiatives.
5+ years managing large-scale Oracle ERP initiatives, including hands‑on leadership of at least two full-lifecycle Oracle Fusion Cloud implementations or major entity rollouts.
Proven track record leading IT M&A integration workstreams across multiple completed deals (acquisitions, mergers, or carve‑outs/divestitures) through all stages: diligence, Day 1 readiness, TSA tracking, and platform migration.
Deep functional and architectural understanding of Oracle Fusion Financials and at least one additional suite (SCM or EPM).
Hands‑on experience directing systems integrators (onshore/offshore models), contract negotiations, and multi-million-dollar program budgets.
Practical understanding of SOX 404 IT general controls (ITGC), financial close cycles, and ERP security design.
Fluency with project delivery platforms (Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project) and executive presentations (PowerPoint, Excel).
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline (Required).
Master’s Degree / MBA (Preferred).
