Responsibilities & Requirements
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Engineering, Business/Operations Management, or relevant healthcare degree) or Associate degree in a relevant field with 3 years of experience.
  • 3 years project management and/or improvement work experience in leading enterprise wide projects utilizing project management and/or improvement methods with proven implementation of detailed work plans
  • Proficiency in software applications such as MS Office Suite, Visio, SharePoint, ServiceNow PPM, MS Project, Minitab, etc.
  • Understanding healthcare business systems and processes preferred
  • Experience in facilitation of medical teams, including physician participants, highly desired.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or ability to obtain within one year.
  • Certification in a process improvement discipline in Lean or Six Sigma or ability to obtain within one year.
  • Ability to manage multiple enterprise-wide initiatives across functional departments, service lines, or campuses at any given time without any degradation in the quality of work performed.
  • Ability to mentor, manage, and provide clear direction to internal and external stakeholders (all levels of organization).
  • Proven experience with building strong relationships with key customers and effective communication strategies using integrity and intent.
  • Ability to communicate appropriately with leadership by providing project status reports, productivity impact analysis, and planning support in accordance with organizational and departmental standards.
Job Responsibilties:
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation in alignment with Project Management Methodology.
  • Provide leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate Change Control process.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Facilitate meetings with project team and stakeholders.
  • Manage the relationship with the Sponsor/Requestor and all stakeholders including vendors.
  • Support and collaborate with operational leaders in the development of project plans for approved projects. Aid in the identification of project goals, overall objectives, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Support leadership by providing project status reports, financial performance, productivity impact analysis, and planning support in accordance with organizational and ePMO standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within the department in collaboration with leadership. Improve processes, templates, efficiency, and effectiveness based on project results and stakeholder input.
  • Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency and certification.
  • Continue professional development to keep abreast of emerging methods for Leadership and Project Management.
  • Prepare cost-benefit analyses on projects, monitor project deadlines and costs, and conduct post implementation reviews.
  • Perform process analysis, research, project design, operations management, and data quality/integrity measurements.
  • Establish practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization.
  • Develop and maintain processes, tools, and methodologies that support systematic improvements in the areas of planning, decision-making, resource allocation, status tracking, and project success criteria.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in a process improvement discipline (e.g. Lean, etc.) or equivalent experience preferred
  • Understanding healthcare business systems and processes preferred
