Job summary

PlanIT Group is seeking a Business Analyst / Project Manager to join our team near Arlington, VA. This hybrid role allows flexible telework but requires weekly in-office presence and US citizenship for a Public Trust clearance.

You will coordinate multiple projects, support cross-functional teams, and document requirements, UAT plans, risks, and changes from inception through delivery. Strong communication and dual BA/PM skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Eligible for Position of Public Trust Clearance: US citizenship, 5 years U.S. residency, limited international travel.
• Experience using ServiceNow and GitHub to manage workflows, issues, and milestones.
• Agile project delivery experience across multi-cloud infra, VMs, end-user systems, and AI services.
• Knowledge of FedRAMP, Zero Trust controls, and enterprise network upgrades.
• Degree or certification in BA or PM preferred.
• 2–3 years of business analysis experience; 3–5 years of project management experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• Ability to translate concepts into clear business/functional requirements.
• Experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Able to multi-task and prioritize competing requirements; self-starter in fast-paced env.

Job Title: Business Analyst / Project Manager

We are seeking a Business Analyst / Project Manager to join our team. This position is available for flexible teleworking, but candidates must live within driving distance of Arlington VA as they will need to work in the office a minimum once a week. Candidates MUST be US Citizens.

Position Description

• Develops, coordinates, tracks, and manages projects for a variety of simultaneous initiatives of varying sizes
• Supports cross-functional project teams consisting of application development, IT operations, and information security teams
• Works with subject matter experts to document user acceptance test plans and coordinates the execution of user acceptance testing
• Documents and tracks project changes, risks, and issues through resolution
• Regularly meets with stakeholders to identify and document business, functional, and technical requirements
• Maintains and updates all requirements documentation
• Communicates changes to requirements and projects to all stakeholders

Position Requirements

• Must be eligible for a Position of Public Trust Clearance – including US Citizenship, five years of U.S. residency, and no more than six months of international travel in the past five years (excluding travel for U.S.-based work or Military Service).
• Experience leveraging ServiceNow and GitHub to manage task workflows, issue resolution, and milestone health across multi-disciplinary technical teams.
• Experience with Agile project execution across multi-cloud infrastructure, virtual server environments, end-user systems (computers, mobile, collaboration tools), and AI service integrations.
• Experience monitoring project risks, POA&Ms, and milestones for FedRAMP compliance, Zero Trust controls, and enterprise network infrastructure upgrades.
• Degree / certification in either Business Analysis or Project Management is a plus
• Minimum 2-3 years of business analysis experience
• Minimum 3-5 years of project management experience
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills
• Ability to translate conceptual requirements into business and functional requirements
• Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements
• Experience managing projects across development lifecycles (analysis through implementation)
• Track record of successfully managing multiple projects of varying scope, size, and complexity
• Familiar with software or systems development lifecycles

• Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize competing requirements
