Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Project Manager to lead a cross‑functional, integrated project team on a 1‑year assignment in Spring, TX. You will drive performance on FEL2‑scale projects at client facilities, coordinating with engineers, contractors, and operations to meet safety, quality, cost and schedule goals.

Responsibilities include establishing gate plans, overseeing vendor engagements, and ensuring timely reviews and approvals. Occasional travel to Wyoming's La Barge site is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or other relevant field.
  • Experience managing capital projects in FEL2 and FEL3.
  • P.E. designation would be considered an asset.
  • Strong leadership and personnel management skills; ability to work cross‑culturally and across time zones.

Job description

One of our major oil and gas clients is seeking a Project Manager to work on a 1 year assignment in their Facilities in Spring, TX. Summary: Responsible for leading a cross‑functional, integrated project team driving competitive project performance in Stage 2 (FEL2) on projects at the La Barge production facility in Wyoming. Projects expected in the $10M-$50M range. Duties will include planning and assembling project teams, leading the project through Gate reviews, managing contractors, and project stewardship. Responsabilities: Lead project by assembling and leading an integrated project team with accountability for project performance (Safety/Quality/Cost/Schedule). Set key Gate dates and develop a plan to support project goals/timelines, including aligning with operational constraints. Plan and ensure project deliverable reviews are completed on time and to the required quality. Ensure stakeholder alignment on project objective and strategies (POS), concept selection, overall schedule and project cost and value delivery. Championing and drive project competitiveness through implementation of organizational strategies with other functional teams. Establish, develop, and maintain project scope in line with project objectives. Drives concept selection and optimization activities. Partner with senior technical leads to define work, risks and appropriate mitigations associated with the project. Develop and arrange endorsement of the project road map with input from key stakeholders. Steward the project, functional, business and other discipline support to ensure timely completion of reviews, resolution of technical queries and required actions, and manage the development‑phase budget. Monitor and appraise pre‑FEED / FEED contractors’ execution against plans and specifications, and participate in developing improvement plans to close gaps in performance. Develop project organization plans. Manage and ensure integration of discipline and other functional input, and gain alignment on the project basis.

This role is either based out Company’sHeadquarters in Spring, TX, with occasional travel to La Barge site in Wyoming, or based at La Barge, with occasional travel to Company’s Headquarters.

Responsabilities:
  • University Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant degree.
  • P. E. Designation would be considered an asset.
  • Experience managing capital projects in FEL2 and FEL3.
  • Prior experience managing industrial control systems projects would be considered an asset.
  • The candidate must have leadership and personnel management skills, and strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively.
  • Proficiency in most project management skills (e.g. execution planning, contracting/procurement, cost estimating, project controls, planning & scheduling, organization design, etc.).
  • Ability to work cross‑culturally and adapt to different time zones.
  • Ability to manage remote teams.
