Embedded Field Engineer (Onsite, La Barge, WY)

Experience: 4-12 years

Must Haves: Oil & Gas, Mechanical Engineering, Oil Field experience.

Work scope Overview
  • Primary interface for site-based projects between Client site and Quest Global (India Engineering team)
  • Gather site information, field inputs & site clarification for smooth and seamless delivery of engineering
  • Coordinate with Site stakeholders, local vendors, as needed
  • Liaise with Client design lead for any emerging scenarios in the project
  • Plan and execute work related to an assigned brownfield project scope based on the project’s work breakdown and needs
  • Typically assigned from FEED through detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up
  • Possibility to participate in early concept selection, project screening and development planning
  • Delegated Safety, Cost, Schedule, Quality, and Operability stewardship for assigned project scope; contract ownership may also be delegated if appropriate
  • Steward contractor performance, engage key stakeholders, and coordinate discipline engineers and global experts to complete the scope consistent with objectives
Job Specific Responsibilities & Tasks
  • Ensure completion of the assigned work scope consistent with project objectives
  • Oversee FEED level engineering, procurement, and execution planning through to completion and start-up
  • Participate in identification, sourcing, and management of long‑lead equipment
  • Coordinate development of Project Management System deliverables and reviews
  • Coordinate project issue identification and resolution processes
  • Ensure smooth transitions between project stages across sites and key stakeholders
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized university
  • 5-10 years working experience related to petrochemical/refining industry or similar process industries
  • Knowledge of industry design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria
  • Demonstrated organizational, coordination, planning, interface, and technical judgment skills
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent priority changes
  • Demonstrated leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to read, write, and speak English
