Job summary

Sky Mavis is seeking a Project Manager, Engineering – Mission Critical to lead multidisciplinary teams in delivering highly technical engineering design packages for mission critical and data center projects nationwide.

You will guide engineers, architects, and designers from concept through construction administration, ensuring uptime, scalability, and security standards are met, with travel to owner sites across the country.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline)
• 10+ years of engineering design experience, with at least 3 years in Mission Critical/Data Center environments
• 2+ years leading multi-disciplinary design teams on fast-track projects
• Strong knowledge of power systems and cooling technologies (CRAH/CRAC/chilled water)
• Familiarity with Uptime Institute, NFPA 70E, ASHRAE 90.1/TC 9.9
• Experience with greenfield and retrofit data center projects a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication and client management skills

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and design teams for mission critical/data center projects
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams through all design phases
• Oversee submittals, RFIs, and field verifications during construction
• Develop and review MEP designs for data center cooling and power systems
• Present engineering solutions to stakeholders and partners
• Travel to project sites as needed across the country
