Job Title: Project Manager – Mission Critical / Data Center Construction

Location: Fort Stockton TX

Reports To: Director of Operations / Vice President of Construction

Employment Type: Full‑Time

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead complex data center and mission critical construction projects in the DFW area. This role requires deep technical knowledge of MEP systems, fast‑track schedules, and mission critical operations. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of project delivery, from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring successful execution, client satisfaction, and alignment with company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage full lifecycle of mission critical construction projects, including data centers, from preconstruction to closeout.
  • Develop and execute project plans, including schedule, budget, safety, procurement, and quality control.
  • Coordinate and lead cross‑functional teams including engineers, superintendents, field staff, and subcontractors.
  • Create and manage critical path schedules focused on MEP systems, equipment deliveries, testing, and commissioning.
  • Lead MEP coordination efforts including procurement, submittal review, system integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Oversee MEP startup, pretesting, and commissioning activities in coordination with third‑party agents and vendors.
  • Prepare and lead Method of Procedure (MOP) meetings for live environments and manage critical infrastructure cutovers.
  • Collaborate with preconstruction and estimating teams to develop realistic budgets and constructible execution plans.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and performance metrics to stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure repeat business and partnership.
  • Enforce safety standards and promote a safety‑first culture in accordance with OSHA and company policies.
  • Support strategic planning initiatives, resource allocation, and workforce planning for current and future projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement by implementing SOPs and industry best practices across project teams.
  • Ensure proper documentation, turnover packages, and closeout procedures for client acceptance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Minimum 5+ years of construction project management experience, with at least 3 years focused on mission critical or data center builds.
  • Proven ability to lead large, complex projects with demanding schedules and technical requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge of MEP systems, commissioning protocols, and critical infrastructure operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of team development and project delivery excellence.
  • OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
  • PMP or CM‑Lean certification is a plus.
