Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical insulation projects from pre-construction through closeout.
• Oversee project financials including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and P&L responsibility.
• Coordinate with clients, general contractors, field teams, and subcontractors.
• Lead field operations, labor planning, productivity tracking, and crew supervision.
• Develop and maintain project schedules; address delays and risks.
• Identify and mitigate project risks; resolve jobsite issues to avoid rework.
• Ensure safety standards and client requirements are met; promote safety culture.
• Procure materials and equipment for mechanical insulation systems.
• Review drawings and submittals for scope accuracy and proper installation.
• Manage change orders, RFIs, and project documentation.
• Coordinate insulation installation with other trades; ensure sequencing and readiness.
• Build relationships with clients and vendors to drive repeat business.
• Lead project meetings and provide reporting on progress, risks, and financial status.
• Mentor project engineers and field team members.

PCI is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Mechanical Insulation for its PCI San Antonio 116 operations based in San Antonio, TX. This individual will be responsible for the following duties:

• Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical insulation projects (pre-construction through closeout), including planning, execution, and final delivery
• Oversee project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and overall profit & loss responsibility for assigned projects
• Coordinate with clients, general contractors, field teams, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution and alignment with project goals
• Lead and direct field operations, including labor planning, productivity tracking, and performance management of crews and supervisors
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones are met and proactively addressing delays or risks
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks, resolving jobsite issues to avoid rework, delays, or cost impacts
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, company policies, and client requirements, maintaining a strong safety culture across projects
• Manage procurement of materials and equipment specific to mechanical insulation systems (pipe, duct, vessel insulation, etc.)
• Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure scope accuracy and proper installation of insulation systems
• Oversee change orders, RFIs, and project documentation to maintain accurate project records and financial alignment
• Collaborate across multiple trades to coordinate insulation installation with mechanical systems, ensuring proper sequencing and system readiness
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams to drive repeat business and project success
• Lead project meetings, communicate updates with stakeholders, and provide clear reporting on progress, risks, and financial status
• Mentor and develop project engineers and field team members, supporting team growth and long-term success

This position is safety sensitive

Salary range: $94,000 – $125,300 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program

Basic Requirements

• Must have at least 3 years of professional experience on construction projects

• Strong ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work
• Has a s trong record of establishing and maintaining successful vendor relationships

• Must have proficiency with digital construction takeoff and software

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with working with union representatives.
• OSHA Certification.
• Local to the San Antonio/Austin metro areas is preferred
