What We Are Looking For
- A Project Manager with experience performing the following tasks:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage electrical skid manufacturing projects, including new product development, automation initiatives, and iterative process improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering, planning, procurement, QAQC, and operations teams to define project scopes, resource needs, and project timelines.
- Lead the implementation of process improvements to optimize electrical assembly workflows, delivery logistics, testing procedures, and material handling.
- Participate in monthly financial reviews to communicate project health using key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Occasional travel to suppliers, equipment vendors, or project sites to identify, document, and communicate issues impacting the skidding process.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address production or compliance challenges.
- Ability to read and understand schedules for use in coordinating manufacturing outputs to the project schedule.
- Ability to quantify, compile, submit, manage, and execute change orders in Accubid Anywhere.
- Ensure the effective and timely submission of skidding RFI’s to the project team.
- Manage suppliers and subcontractors related to electrical components, equipment, testing, and integration services.
- Participate in the yearly employee performance evaluation (EPE) process both providing and receiving non-bias job performance appraisals, setting goals, creating expectations, and offering constructive feedback
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., IPC, UL, IEC, NEC) and internal electrical safety protocols throughout the manufacturing process.
- Drive lean manufacturing practices to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
- Assist in the cultivation of new business relationships while maintaining existing customer relationships.
- Participate in a culture of continuous learning, training, and skill development.
- Effectively communicate project information to both internal and external project stakeholders.
- Leverage project documentation including schedules, process maps, technical specifications, and change logs, to ensure accuracy of manufactured outputs.
- Demonstrated understanding of coordination in a multi-trade environment.
- Experience working in a manufacturing facility with regular visits to the production floor, storage, and testing areas.
- Conduct regular project meetings with cross-functional teams to communicate progress, resolve issues, and create alignment of objectives and timelines.
- Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases or launch windows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of Five (5) years’ project management experience in an electrical or electronics manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, construction management, business administration, or (5) years of related technical field experience is highly desired.
- Strong understanding of electrical manufacturing processes, including structural assemblies, equipment placement, raceway assembly, testing, and quality control.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-phase projects from concept through production.
- Experience managing projects / portfolios in excess of $15 million
- Ability to travel to various job sites, client headquarters, etc. approximately 4 nights per month.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Office Suite, Bluebeam, P6, Accubid, or similar) and ERP systems.
