SIMCO, LLC is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Project Subcontractor Technical Representative – Maintenance Subcontracts in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Be part of the nation’s only repository for the disposal of nuclear waste known as Transuranic (TRU) waste. Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, LLC (SIMCO), managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Project Subcontractor Technical Representative – Maintenance Subcontracts and join our team located in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
The purpose of this position is to oversee and direct the performance of all field construction activities for assigned projects. This position performs duties, as assigned, and may support one or more contracts. Executes awarded contracts by enforcing the terms and conditions of those contracts. Performs subcontract closeout duties and assists in the award of subcontract documents. This role is typically responsible for up to fifteen (15) complex and/or noncomplex subcontracts. This position requires the ability to schedule, coordinate and/or manage contractors/subcontractors. Must have strong communication skills, proven ability to form and lead teams of diverse technical backgrounds to conduct assessments and clearly document results. The candidate must be a self-starter and motivated to execute assigned work activities.

Exempt grade level(s) 32‑34. Salary range: $96,789 to $172,368 per year – the specific salary offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors, particularly the candidate’s relevant experience and education.
