Role Summary
The Aptitude Project Manager 2 will oversee constructability reviews, conceptual estimating, consultation, bid pricing, project management, change management, and coordination with project teams on technology or Aptitude scopes of work. This role requires subject matter expertise, demonstrating leadership, communication, and project management skills to effectively integrate technology scopes on designated projects. All activities align with JE Dunn's strategy, vision, and values.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core
- Support the company's safety culture and promote an injury-free environment through actions and mentoring.
- Coordinate design and construction efforts related to technology, ensuring standards are met.
- Provide expertise in design assist, installation, and network integration of systems.
- Create technology-specific scopes of work and responsibility matrices.
- Perform quantity takeoffs, obtain vendor and trade partner pricing, and compile budgets or hard bid proposals.
- Manage project budgets, costs, and projections.
- Develop, disseminate, and enforce Aptitude processes and standards.
- Lead, coach, and motivate team members aligned with JE Dunn's objectives and values.
- Support Aptitude strategies to meet project financial, quality, and performance goals.
- Participate in communication programs and strategy sessions to market and deliver technology services.
- Manage budgets, schedules, staffing, billing, and collections for projects.
- Develop and manage project plans and schedules to meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives.
- Track progress and report milestones to stakeholders.
- Promptly communicate and resolve issues during project execution.
- Measure results and conduct post-project evaluations.
- Ensure proper management and archiving of project documents.

- Managing the technology consulting process with clients and contractors.
- Initiating business development to grow Aptitude's contribution.
- Supporting project pursuits to maximize Aptitude's value to clients.
- Identifying and developing new technologies supporting Smart Building offerings.
- Facilitating training to promote awareness of Aptitude services.
- Maintaining professional knowledge through education and networking.
- Engaging with civic and municipal organizations to position Aptitude as an industry leader.
- Recruiting, onboarding, and training staff.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Accuracy and timeliness in work.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, IT, or related field (Required).
- Equivalent relevant experience considered.
Experience
- 8+ years in IT/Security/Life Safety systems (Required).
- 5+ years project management experience (Required).
Working Environment
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Travel and/or relocation may be necessary.
- Willingness to work non-traditional hours.
- Potential exposure to extreme conditions.
- Work may occur at project sites or in an office.
- Frequent activity includes sitting and viewing screens; occasional activity includes standing, walking, and physical movements.
