Placements24 is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead initiatives optimizing the logistics and distribution network. The role demands strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration with operations, warehousing, transportation, and IT teams, and delivering measurable efficiency gains.

The position offers a hybrid work model with on-site engagement at distribution centers and key operations, plus opportunities to implement new technologies, redesign processes, and drive cost savings

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field.
• 7+ years of project management experience in logistics.
• PMP or APICS certification is a plus.
• Experience in hybrid work models is preferred.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead initiatives aimed at optimizing their logistics and distribution network. The position offers a hybrid work model , allowing for significant remote coordination and planning, balanced with essential on-site engagement at distribution centers and with key operational teams. You will be critical in redesigning processes, implementing new technologies, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods, contributing to the company's competitive edge.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of projects focused on logistics and distribution network enhancements.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, budget management, and risk mitigation .
• Collaborate closely with operations managers, warehouse staff, transportation providers, and IT teams.
• Oversee the implementation of new warehousing systems, automation, and route optimization software.
• Conduct regular on-site assessments and virtual meetings to monitor progress and address challenges.
• Ensure project deliverables align with business objectives for efficiency, cost savings, and service levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• PMP or APICS certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management , with a specialization in logistics and supply chain operations.
• Experience managing projects within a hybrid work structure , demonstrating adaptability to both remote and on-site requirements.
• Strong understanding of warehousing operations, transportation management, and inventory control principles.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and stakeholder communication skills .
• Proficiency in project management software and logistics optimization tools.
